Identifying and Addressing Food Insecurity and Barriers to Nutritious Food Access in a Student-Run Free Clinic
with Caitlyn Murphy, Daniel Newlands, Michael North and Sean Haley
This presentation is released on Monday, January 18, 2027.
Screening for food insecurity at a student-run free clinic pairs a survey adapted from the validated USDA Food Security Survey with immediate resource delivery: information about a food pantry at the same site and free recipes built around ingredients commonly available through food pantries. The initiative is ongoing, with 100 participants surveyed to date and formal analysis still ahead.
