Development and Operationalization of a Culturally Tailored Community Breast Health Outreach Model Within a Student-Run Free Clinic

with Crystal Banh, Morgan Perry, Brandon Pum, Abigail Rousseau, Khaliun Dashdeleg, Meredith Fils, Jeffrey Damaschke and Melissa Chen, MD

This presentation is released on Monday, January 18, 2027.

Two community breast health events at a student-run free clinic engaged 67 participants, 30 of whom newly registered at the clinic, with more than 30 referred to local breast health services. The culturally tailored model pairs community partnerships, volunteer training, and language-access services with structured referral pathways. Preliminary evaluation, limited by low survey completion, shows higher self-rated knowledge scores after each event.
